Brass (Trombone)Hi
everyone! I'm currently living in Davis and attending grad school at
University of the Pacific. If all goes as planned, I will have my
Master's in Communication in Spring '07. I currently work at
Fleishman Hillard (a PR Firm) in Sacramento and teach Public Speaking
and Interpersonal Communication to undergraduates. I still play my
Trombone in the Cal Aggie Alumni Marching Band and think about my time
in the Emerald Regime often. You guys are awesome and my memories
are truly life long. Hope you're all doing well!!

(Piano/Synth)Greetings,
friends! I'm back in town these days. My daughter is now a 7th
grader at Martin Murphy. She is an excellent guitarist and
drummer. I would love to see her in the Emerald Regime someday,
but it depends on my husband's and my jobs, so we'll see. I'm a
court reporter with Superior Court in downtown San Jose, and I also play
piano/organ for Presbyterian Church of San Martin and direct the choir. |

Woodwinds (Flute)I was one
of the original Emerald Regime members. Marched through my Junior year,
then needed boyfriend time. Not much time for that with all the
practicing. I'll never forget all the hurried uniform changes on the
buses. No one cared which bus they were on. That was fun. Now my kids
still tease me when I say "one time" and they say "at band camp"! But we
never had "band camp".

Woodwinds (Flute), Brass (Tuba)Looking forward to having my 14 year old
experience marching band, she'll start in the Fall of 2003. She plays
Clarinet. I also have a 7 year old daughter, who is attempting to play
clarinet as well.
I have been married to my current husband
for 2 years now and also have a 13 year old step daughter (my first
husband is deceased)
I work for Oak Grove School District in
San Jose. I teach adults how to drive school buses (it sounds a lot
easier than it is) and work on a couple of other committees in the
district.
I would love to hear from any alumni!

Just about 38 years ago the Emerald Regime was born. Little did
the town of Morgan Hill or any of the rest of the members and parents
realize that history was in the making. This wasn't just another high
school marching band, the Emerald Regime was "cutting edge." No
other band had ever adapted Drum & Bugle Corps style to a high school
marching band and many other bands would follow the innovation of the
Emerald Regime for years to come.
As alumni, it is important to make an effort to attend the next two 4th
of July celebrations in Morgan Hill. Performance in the Alumni
Band is of course optional but the attendance of the members of the
Emerald Regime Alumni represents a tribute to a town, an organization,
the founders and to a less complex America.
In 2011 the Emerald Regime will be celebrating it's 40th anniversary and
over the next two years the Alumni band will perform under the direction
of Mike & Cricket Rubino once again. Though none of us can travel
back through time, over the next two years we can reassemble the Emerald
Regime Alumni one more time to honor America.
In conclusion whether we are performing Alumni members or not our
objective is the 2010 and 2011 4th of July celebration in Morgan Hill
California. It is possible that if enough of the Alumni attend and
perform, maybe, just maybe we can recapture a little bit of that magic
of so many years ago, one last time.
Updated personal information is as follows. Trish & I are still
here in Sonora spending time with our grandsons Nickolas, who is soon to
be 5 years old and his little brother Noah, now 6 months old. We
have now been married for over 26 years and are still keeping busy with
our businesses and recreational activities. Danielle & Brent are
still in Seattle and Jennifer and her husband and two children live in
Roseville. Dad & Kathy live in Georgia and they're performing more
than ever. JoAnn is in Auburn and Mom is back in San Jose.
I'm playing Trombone in the Wednesday night big band and Trumpet in a
new band we formed in 2007 called "CHAINS REQUIRED."

There are clips and info regarding the first Emerald Regime Archives
Disc at
http://www.esavp.com/Emerald_Regime_Archive_DVD_1_(1970's).htm
There is also a friends and family page at our web site
http://www.ESAVP.com which includes jazz concert footage and
pictures of Nickolas & Noah along with pics of ball games and projects.
We will definitely be attending the next two 4th of July celebrations in
Morgan Hill. Hope to see lots of Emerald Regime Alumni then. |
